The costs of an Au Pair stay are relatively low compared to the benefits.
An Au Pair is not a housekeeper but a temporary family member. The main duties of an Au Pair include:
Both host families and au pairs only need basic organization skills to plan the stay smoothly.
With or without an agency, families and au pairs must review profiles, conduct video calls, and check references or criminal records if needed.
Once you choose an au pair, discuss and sign the contract, covering key details like working hours, pocket money, insurance, and visa requirements.
If a visa is needed, the au pair must handle the application independently—agencies can’t do this for them. Plus, agencies aren’t responsible for ensuring a positive experience.
AuPair.com gives you control without unnecessary costs.
Several times a year, we organize au pair workshops.
Every month, we organize au pair meetings for our international au pairs in Germany. We will send you the exact date, time, and login details by email after your arrival.
Optimally prepared with our workshop: Our workshops are aimed at au pairs who have applied to us, as well as au pairs from other agencies and interested parties who are still unsure whether they even want to apply. We offer you a good insight into the life of an au pair abroad and the opportunity to ask any questions that are on your mind! You don’t just listen, you actively participate in the workshop! 🙂 Workshop topics include: expectations of the au pair and the host family, fears and anxieties, homesickness, conflict resolution, and specific interactions with/activities for children of different ages. Participation in the workshop costs €29.
An Au Pair program is a fantastic way for both sides to learn from each other and gain valuable experiences. Whether as a host family or an Au Pair – with proper preparation and support, the stay can be a truly enriching journey.
